5 Ways to Strengthen Your Body to Help Meet Future Fitness Goals
If we could speak to our future selves to give them some advice that would ensure their happiness, what would we tell them?
From a physical therapist's viewpoint, there are a few things that your future self should know.
First: range of motion. You should be working on your joint mobility of areas like your shoulders, upper back, and hips to ensure you have the range of motion to be able to move as you get older. It doesn't matter how strong you are if your joints can't move well!
Second is balance and stability. Trust me, it will sneak up on you. Standing on one leg to balance is the easiest thing you can do to work on this. Try it while flossing your teeth (only if your balance is good enough to do that now), which is something you already have built into your daily routine.
