What's the Best Position to Sleep In?

Do you have trouble finding the right position to sleep in?

You're not alone. Many people struggle with this and there are personalized reasons why some positions might be better than others depending upon your own needs and struggles with your body.

Do you have a shoulder issue? Then you probably shouldn't be sleeping on that shoulder because it compresses the joint and cause pain. Do you have acid reflux? Then sleeping on your back on a wedge and pillow or sleeping on your left side would be best to help this condition.

Sleeping positions are something that physical therapists help people with and there are many modifications that can be made.

Read more about different sleeping positons and find one that works for you in Dr. Marko's new guest editorial review in Sleep Advisor.
